A collision involving a truck and a van near Rawalpindi’s T Chowk area on Tuesday resulted in the tragic loss of five lives and injuries to six others, according to statements from rescue officials.

According to a rescue official, the occurrence occurred as a result of excessive speed.

The wounded individuals and the deceased were swiftly transported to a nearby hospital, the officials further noted.

The accident was attributed to the excessive speed at which the vehicles were traveling.

Rescue officials stated that among the injured, four women and two men were affected, while the casualties included four men and one woman.
