Billboard reports that Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour ranks among the highest-grossing tours.
Santa Clara’s Levi’s Stadium is poised to host Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour on Wednesday, where the illustrious Queen Bey, aged 41, will be designated as the honorary mayor of both Santa Clara city and the state of California, receiving a symbolic key to the city.
As reported by our source, the Santa Clara City Council will convene on Tuesday evening to determine whether the celebrity will hold the mayoral title for a single day in lieu of Lisa Gillmor.
“The city of Santa Clara is eagerly anticipating Beyoncé’s imminent performance at the renowned Levi’s Stadium,” Michelle Templeton, a spokesperson for Santa Clara, conveyed in a statement. “Her concerts are sure to infuse the city with an abundance of energy and excitement.”
Per details from The Mercury News, the proclamation honoring the “Break My Soul” vocalist underlines her remarkable cultural influence as one of the most impactful figures in contemporary popular culture. The proclamation acknowledges her myriad achievements, which include an impressive 35 Grammy nominations, as well as her notable philanthropic endeavors.
Notably, this year, Santa Clara has previously honored another musical luminary within its confines. The city council bestowed Taylor Swift with the honorary mayoral title and temporarily renamed the city “Swiftie Clara” during her Eras Tour, which unfolded over two days on July 28 and 29.
In addition to Santa Clara, other cities such as Atlanta and Minneapolis have also embraced the concept of a “Beyoncé Day,” as reported by The Mercury News.
Launched by the Formation songstress on May 12 in Stockholm, Sweden, the Renaissance World Tour has continued to captivate audiences worldwide.
