During an outing in Beverly Hills, Lizzo was spotted with an abundance of bags in her possession.
Amidst the ongoing controversy, Lizzo treated herself to an indulgent Chanel shopping spree. The renowned Truth Hurts singer was sighted in Beverly Hills, California, on Tuesday, laden with bags and holding a glass of bubbly in one hand.
The Grammy-winning artist made a striking fashion statement, donning a sleek black tank top paired elegantly with a Versace mini denim skirt and crisp white sneakers. Embracing the essence of a carefree day out, she adorned her ensemble with a diminutive Chanel purse, featuring a delicate chain strap, and crowned her look with sporty, reflective blue sunglasses.
Radiating an air of tranquility, the About Damn Time songstress appeared stress-free as she indulged in her pursuit of luxury items.
However, the issue involving Lizzo and a group of her former backup dancers has not waned. Just this month, these dancers filed a lawsuit against the hitmaker, alleging instances of sexual, racial, and religious harassment, along with claims of fostering a toxic work environment. These legal matters were still unfolding when Lizzo was photographed during her Chanel outing.
In response, Lizzo’s legal representative, Marty Singer, revealed that his client intends to launch a countersuit based on the grounds of “malicious prosecution,” citing what he perceives as the dancers’ contradictory actions.
Earlier, the singer had shared images with People magazine, showcasing the plaintiffs engaging in seemingly joyful interactions. These images were used to challenge the allegations of harassment, underscoring that three of the dancers had returned to work for her.
Neama Rahmani, the attorney representing dancers Davis, Williams, and Rodriguez, affirmed their stance, asserting that they stand by each claim within the lawsuit and are resolute in their commitment to a trial. Despite Singer’s attempts to utilize images and other forms of purported evidence, the dancers remain undeterred.
Rahmani articulated, “Our clients aren’t cowed by Singer’s empty threats or attempts at victim shaming. Having dealt with an array of cases, including prosecuting powerful entities like drug cartels, we have no intention of yielding. We eagerly anticipate the opportunity for Singer to present his case in a legal setting rather than the media.”
He further noted, “We’ve effectively addressed the instances in which the plaintiffs appeared content alongside Lizzo during their tenure working with her. Naturally, they sought to preserve their jobs, driven by financial responsibilities like anyone else, but they ultimately reached their breaking point.”
“Arianna, Noelle, and Crystal exhibited remarkable courage in sharing their narratives, and they remain steadfast in the face of these aggressive tactics from Lizzo’s legal counsel,” Rahmani concluded.
