Emma Watson rose to stardom through her portrayal of the intelligent and spirited Hermione Granger in the ‘Harry Potter’ film series.
Emma Watson appears to be venturing into new creative pursuits, including authorship and screenwriting, as she enrolls in a part-time degree program at Oxford University.
The 33-year-old actress, renowned for her role as the intelligent and spirited Hermione Granger in the ‘Harry Potter’ film series, will be pursuing a two-year course in creative writing, which comes with a price tag of approximately £20,000 (almost $24,500), as reported by The Sun.
According to a source, “The course is designed for older adults and offers a part-time schedule, which aligns perfectly with Emma’s commitments. She only needs to be on-site for four or five days a year, as the rest of the coursework can be completed online from the comfort of her home.”
Furthermore, the university has been informed in advance that, owing to her fame, Watson will have a small security presence with her on campus “to ensure her safety whenever she attends classes.”
Recently, the actress had a distressing encounter with a stalker during New York Fashion Week earlier in the month. Chad Michael Busto allegedly attempted to gain access to Watson’s dressing room and was subsequently apprehended. According to authorities, Busto entered a dressing room at the venue and vocally harassed makeup artists and models nearby.
“I want to marry Emma Watson,” he purportedly shouted, as stated in court documents. However, it remains unclear whether Watson was in the dressing room at the time of the incident or not.
