After their three-day state visit to France, King Charles and Queen Camilla will host a gathering in the U.K.
King Charles and Queen Camilla are preparing for their upcoming royal engagement, following their recently concluded three-day visit to France.
Buckingham Palace has officially announced that the King and Queen will extend a warm welcome to the President of South Korea, Yoon Suk Yeol, and his wife, First Lady Kim Keon Hee, during the autumn season.
In a statement, Buckingham Palace declared, “His Majesty The King has extended an invitation to the President of the Republic of Korea, His Excellency Yoon Suk Yeol, along with Mrs. Kim Keon Hee, for a State Visit to the United Kingdom in November. The King and Queen will graciously host this State Visit at Buckingham Palace.”
The specific date of the visit and additional details will be disclosed in the near future.
The most recent encounter between Charles and Yoon occurred last year during a gathering of heads of state and international dignitaries at Buckingham Palace on the eve of Queen Elizabeth’s state funeral.
Much like other esteemed foreign visitors, Yoon participated in signing a book of condolences at Church House in London on that occasion.
State visits carry significant importance within the numerous diplomatic responsibilities of the British Royal Family. These visits typically commence with a formal welcome ceremony hosted by the monarch and other royal family members at the Horse Guards Parade.
Following this, the guests are treated to a carriage procession, culminating in a grand state dinner held in the opulent ballroom of Buckingham Palace, as detailed on Royal. The UK.
