Madonna is still not feeling 'completely recovered' despite months passing since her hospitalization during the Celebration tour
Madonna refers to her survival following the health scare that led to her hospitalization as a ‘miracle.’
Madonna still finds it difficult to believe that she’s able to perform after a recent health scare, and she acknowledges that she doesn’t feel “completely well” yet.
“Less than four months ago, I was in the hospital, unconscious, and there were predictions that I might not make it,” she shared in a video recorded by a fan during her “Celebration” tour stop in Antwerp, Belgium. “So, it’s a miraculous thing that I’m here right now,” she exclaimed.
The Queen of Pop attributed her resilience to her late mother, who sadly passed away from breast cancer at the age of 30. Madonna tearfully continued, “My mother, God bless her, must be watching over me. She said, ‘Girl, it’s not your time to go.'”
Reflecting on her mother’s final days, Madonna pondered the loneliness her mother might have felt in the hospital, knowing that she wouldn’t survive. “I’ve been given a second chance,” she added. “I’m incredibly grateful for that.”
The Grammy-winning singer, now 65, confessed that she still wasn’t in the best of health. “I must tell you, I don’t feel great right now, but I can’t complain because I’m alive,” she stated. “I’m so thankful for my children and all of you for your love and support; I truly appreciate it.”
Madonna returned to the stage just a few months after her ICU stay due to a bacterial infection. According to Page Six, she had been diligently rehearsing and working long, 12-hour days before she was found unconscious in her New York City home in June.
