Meghan Markle purportedly wished for Kate Middleton to be a supportive ally within the royal family.
According to a recently published royal book, it is alleged that Kate Middleton, Prince William’s wife, showed little interest in forming a connection with Meghan Markle, Prince Harry’s partner.
The book, ‘Endgame’ by Omid Scobie, reveals new details about the relationship between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton, stating that despite both being outsiders initially, their differences and the rift between brothers Harry and William strained their early interactions.
In the book, Scobie expresses sympathy for Meghan, describing her time as a working royal as lonely and isolated.
He suggests that Meghan had hoped Kate would be someone she could turn to for support during challenging times.
However, the book claims that Kate was uninterested in forming such a bond with Meghan, with a source noting that Kate “can be cold” if she doesn’t like someone and “wasn’t a fan” of Meghan. Another source mentioned that Kate spent more time talking about Meghan than talking to her.
The author also writes that on recent occasions, Kate reportedly “jokingly shivered” when Meghan’s name was mentioned.
Despite a previously positive bond between Kate and Harry, the book suggests that this relationship is now strained. Quoting a source, Scobie mentions that while Kate cherishes the moments with Harry and their children, she finds it difficult to trust them after their public interviews.
