Hints from Italian sports journalist Fabrizio Romano and Gremio coach Renato Gaucho suggest a possible move for Suarez to Inter Miami.

With Luis Suarez’s contract at Brazilian club Gremio set to conclude in December, there is growing speculation that the Uruguayan striker could reunite with his friend and former Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi at Inter Miami.

Fueling the rumors is the fact that Suarez will become a free agent on January 1, 2024, giving him the flexibility to sign with any club of his choosing.

Gremio coach Renato Gaucho added weight to the speculation by indicating that Inter Miami is actively pursuing a deal with Suarez in the coming weeks, taking advantage of his impending free agency.

Italian sports journalist Fabrizio Romano had earlier disclosed that Inter Miami, owned by David Beckham, is planning to approach Suarez for a potential signing in the 2024 Major League Soccer (MLS) season, as reported by marca.com.

Despite being 36 years old, Suarez continues to be a potent force on the field, evident in his impressive stats at Gremio, where he scored 23 goals and provided 17 assists in 51 appearances.

While Inter Miami seems to be Suarez’s likely destination, the Uruguayan striker has not ruled out the possibility of retirement. The decision regarding his move to the MLS is still pending, leaving fans and analysts eagerly awaiting his decision.

In a twist, Goal.com suggests that Messi’s potential retirement hint could cast doubt on Inter Miami’s hopes for a sensational reunion with Suarez.
