As Joe Jonas requests not to be “left hanging,” fans disregard him as a singer.
Joe Jonas’ fans may have missed out on a significant chance to high-five the singer. On Monday, February 19, the 34-year-old posted a comical TikTok video where he’s seen “hyping up” runners during their evening jogs.
In the video, he reached out his arm, offering high fives to passing runners. While some reciprocated the gesture, others simply passed by Jonas, disregarding his attempt.
It was evident that none of the runners recognized the singer, a fact they all lamented upon later when reacting to the clip.
Captioning the post with Natasha Bedingfield’s “Pocketful of Sunshine” as background audio, Jonas wrote, “Hyping up strangers with high-fives during their 6pm run,” followed by a plea, “Don’t leave me hanging.”
Fans swiftly reacted to the missed opportunity. One follower admitted, “I literally ran right past him in Brooklyn and was wondering why I was being recorded & he was trying to high five me! Didn’t realize who he was!!”
Another humorously remarked, “Imagine dodging a stranger’s high five only to get home, scroll TikTok, and find out it was Joe,” while a third joked, “When they realize the weird guy high giving everyone is JOE JONAS.”
Before embarking on his 2024 leg of The Tour alongside his brothers Nick and Kevin Jonas, the singer made a return to New York City.
