Erdogan and Raisi extend congratulations to Shehbaz Sharif on his victory in the Prime Ministerial election
Both presidents conveyed in their messages of congratulations their aspirations to enhance relations with Pakistan under its new leadership.
On Monday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi congratulated Shehbaz Sharif of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) for securing the premiership for the second consecutive time, as reported by Radio Pakistan.
In their messages of congratulations, both leaders from Muslim nations expressed their hopes to fortify ties with Pakistan under the new administration.
In a telephone conversation, Erdogan conveyed his congratulations to Shehbaz, expressing confidence that relations between Ankara and Islamabad will deepen and broaden in the new period.
The call also covered discussions on Turkey-Pakistan relations, along with regional and global matters.
Similarly, Iran’s Raisi extended his best wishes to Shehbaz Sharif on his election as Pakistan’s prime minister.
In his congratulatory message, he affirmed his commitment to enhancing the ties between the two Islamic brotherly nations.
He expressed hope that the new government would exert every effort for the welfare of the people and the nation. Raisi emphasized that both countries would collaborate closely to bolster bilateral relations.
